Course Content

Training Schedule

1. Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work QCF

workplace environments for the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health
and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations (NI) 1982 purposes. It’s also approved by the Association of
First Aiders.
Course Duration: Typically, 1 day

2. Level 3 First Aid at Work (QCF)

This Regulated Qualification is ideal for anyone wishing to become a first aider. It covers a
wider range of subjects than that covered by the Emergency First Aid at Work qualification. It
provides learners with the skills and knowledge to deal with first aid situations in higher-risk

3. Level 2 Activity First Aid (QCF)

The Level 2 Award in Activity First Aid (QCF) is a training course that is designed for those
who are involved in outdoor and activity-based environments that require a first aid qualification

challenging environments. It’s also approved by the Association of First Aiders.

4. Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Anaphylaxis (QCF)

Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and Management of Anaphylaxis qualification has been
designed to provide the knowledge and skills to manage casualties with anaphylaxis.
Anaphylaxis is a potentially life-threatening condition and prompt action in its recognition and management is essential to preserve life.
This course provides the underpinning knowledge and appropriate skills to manage casualties and ultimately if required to perform effective basic life support until emergency assistance can arrive. The qualification is valid for 3 years and is supported by Skills for Health.

5. Level 2 Award in Basic Life Support and the Safe use of an Automated External Defibrillator (QCF)

This qualification is recommended as training for first aiders in the workplace environment who
have access to a defibrillator.
The topics covered are regarded by Skills for Health as being important to maintaining good
practice in the safe, prompt, and effective administration of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and
automated external defibrillation.

6. Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid for Drivers (CPC)

Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid for Drivers qualification is a training course which is
designed for those who are involved in the driving industry and require a first aid qualification to meet the Certificate of Professional Competency (CPC) first aid requirements in addition to
providing the knowledge and skills to operate in these different and often challenging

7. Level 3 Award in The First Person on Scene Intermediate (RFQ)

The new Level 3 Award in the First Person at Scene (RFQ) is an up-to-date qualification
underpinned by current practice.
It provides learners with the knowledge and life-saving skills to assess, manage and treat a
patient in a trauma and/or medical emergency and to stabilise the patient for up to forty minutes before the ambulance or pre-hospital care providers arrive.

Course Duration:

This qualification is valid for 3 years. Once the qualification has expired or is due to expire the
learner is required to re undertaking the course again in order to maintain the qualification.

Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (QCF)

This regulated first aid qualification is specific to infants aged under 1, and children aged from 1 year old to the onset of puberty. It is ideal for parents and babysitters.
This qualification is the first unit (day one) of the Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First
Aid (QCF). This latter qualification meets the requirements of the statutory framework for the
Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) as issued by the Department for Education and Skills
Foundation Stage relating to Early Years childcare. It’s also approved by the Association of First Aiders.
Course Duration: Typically, 1 Day

Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (QCF)

This regulated first aid qualification is specific to infants aged under 1, and children aged from 1
