1.Level 1 National Award in the Principles of Fire Safety in the Workplace

Key Points:
This course is designed to provide the underpinning knowledge for learners to operate safely in the workplace with regards to fire safety.
The course provides employers with a programme which assists them in proving due diligence and demonstrates their legal commitment to staff training as required by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
The course is aimed at all staff in particular new starters, refresher training, learners seeking employment etc.

Course Duration: 3 hrs.

Validity: 3 years

2. Level 2 National Award in the Principles of Fire Safety and the Role of the Fire Marshall.

Key Points:
This qualification is aimed at staff that has been recently appointed or intend to be appointed as a fire marshal/warden in the workplace.
The course provides employers with a programme which assists them in proving due diligence and demonstrates their legal commitment to staff training as required by the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.

Course Duration: 6 hrs.
Validity: 3 years

3.Level 1 National Award in the Principles of Health and Safety
in the Workplace

Key Points:
This course is designed for learners who are new to the workplace; require refresher training or those seeking new work opportunities.
The course provides an introduction to health and safety in the workplace and leads to progression onto other courses should the learner/employer require.
The course is typically half-day in duration and offers an excellent insight to the role of health and safety in the workplace. The course compliments employer’s policies and procedures and the course can be tailored by the trainer to meet any specific needs of employers.
Course Duration: Typically, half-day

4. Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (QCF)

Key Points:
The qualification is aimed at all employees whether new starters, currently in employment or seeking work.
The purpose of the qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge to identify workplace hazards and contribute to the positive health and safety culture within the workplace. The qualification contains subjects which are essential in maintaining a safe working environment.
The qualification also provides a demonstration of the employer’s commitment to fulfil their legal obligation to provide training to its employees.

Course Duration: Typically, 1 day

5. Level 3 Award in Supervising Health and Safety in the Workplace (QCF)

Key Points:
This qualification is designed for those who work in a supervisory, management or training role and require the knowledge and skills to manage the health and safety of a workplace.
It provides the underpinning knowledge in health and safety law, together with essential knowledge in the areas of risk assessment, accident prevention, reporting of dangerous diseases and occurrences, control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH), fire safety, noise, welfare, workplace equipment, ergonomics, manual handling, personal protective equipment and staff training/supervision.

Course Duration: Typically, 3 days

Level 2 Award in Risk Assessment (QCF)

Key Points:

This qualification is designed for employees who are responsible for undertaking a risk assessment in the workplace and provides employees with the underpinning knowledge and skills to undertake a risk assessment.
The aim of the qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to prepare a risk assessment in accordance with current legislation and best practice.

Course Duration: Typically, 1 day

6. Level 2 Award in Principles and Practice of Manual Handling

Key Points:

This qualification is designed to provide learners with the knowledge and skills to safely move objects in the workplace.

The course builds on the best practice guidance from the Health and Safety Executive and provides learners with the opportunity to practice safe moving principles.

The Health and Safety and Work Act 1974 and the Manual Handling Operation Regulations 1992 require each employer to provide adequate supervision and training and as well as undertake manual handling risk assessments. This qualification will support employers to demonstrate their commitment to the legal obligations.

The qualification is ideal for new starters, existing staff and for refresher training.

Course Duration: Typically, 1 day

7.Level 2 Award in the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) (QCF)

Key Points:

This qualification is designed for anyone who works with hazardous chemicals.
This includes industries such as education, manufacturing, health and social care, cleaning, offices, military, industry etc.

Course Duration: Typically, half-day

8. Level 2 National Award in the Principles and Practices of Infection Prevention and Control

Key Points:

This qualification is designed to provider learners with the underpinning knowledge to contribute to the prevention of infection and disease in the healthcare setting.

The qualification is ideal for new starters and experienced staff requiring a refresher alike and is designed for the health and social care sectors including private ambulance services, nursing homes, care homes, domiciliary care providers, nurseries, custody suites, doctor’s surgeries, dental surgeries etc.
